I was having a pretty bad week last week and had my joy stolen quite a bit during the course of a few days. Between feeling ineffective at work and overwhelmed with the mountain of paperwork after vacation, I was kind of in the dumps.
This week is a total turnaround. I’ve been much more productive, I feel better, good news came about Dad, etc. etc.
Therefore, rather than to dwell on the negative, I’m asking you:
What BRINGS you joy in your life?
I have lots of things….music, my relationship with my wife, true friendship, creating art, investing in youth, etc. etc, just to name a few. I mean, we all know the Sunday School answer is that God brings joy…but see, God brings joy in several forms.
I'm Jad. I'm married to a beautiful wife, live in the beautiful city of Nashville and have a beautiful life. First and foremost, I'm a Christian. Secondarily, I'm an attorney, a musician, and a big 'ol kid.

sunlight. I love being outside and daylight savings time steals my joy all winter and I am in heaven for 8 months when I can be outside till 8pm…I think it’s the opposite for Carey since I’m actually inside with her during those 4 dark months…
oh, and congrats on the good news about your Dad!!
1. Family Gatherings
2. Playing Music
3. My KIDS
4. Glass of TEA!!
My monkey.
1.Being home under one roof with my family.
2.Spending time going for walks with family
3.Talking to my wife
4.Worship brings me joy.
@Laura: Micah brings me joy too
@Big Z: Big Z…you in general bring me joy!
@Adam: Although I may have touched on this in the post itself…I totally agree about worship. Worship in ALL aspects (in the crowd or on the stage) is one of the most fulfilling aspects of my Christian walk. It is how I connect with my maker and it brings me MUCHO joy.
I would have to say community. Nothing bring me joy like the community of friends God has placed in my life.
Almost everyday I wake up overwhelmed and humbled by the people God allows me to journey through life with.
Thanks for being one of those people Jad.
