Return of the Pig October 7, 2008

As revolting to some of you as the above picture may seem, I say it looks quite tasty AND fun.
I post the picture to announce to yous guys that on Saturday, October 18th, several folks will be pitching in to roast a pig to help benefit some really good friends of ours…Laura and Jarrod Morris.
Here’s the deal in a nutshell….Jarrod and Laura have been convicted to adopt a child. They are amazing parents to one little blonde headed boy but they know that God is leading them to adoption for their second child. Well, basically one must go into a decent amount of debt to adopt these days and everything was going great with the Morris’ re: adoption loans UNTIL…. One of the last meetings it was made known to them that they would most likely have to come up with a very large amount of money to get the ball rolling (which was not exactly disclosed to them until THAT meeting).
Here’s where WE come in….
WE HELP.
By roasting a pig and throwing a party!
Let’s help Laura and Jarrod raise some money so that they can get off the ground in this endeavor. I think it’s the right thing to do…all the way around. Most of you know that I’m quite pro-adoption and it’s something that God places on your heart so I’m really excited to help these folks.
Details:
We’ll be partaking of the pig at my neighborhood pavillion (7543 Rolling River Pkwy., N’Ville, TN 37221) on Saturday the 18th at 11:00 am. We will most likely be frying a turkey as well. All of which wouldn’t be possible without the amazing culinary skills of troutnducks. We’ll also be hosting a cornhole tournament (you know, the bean bag toss game) that day so this thing promises to be LOTS of fun.
We are asking for a suggested donation of $10 per plate of food that day and if you can’t make it and still want to pitch in then please contact me. As of right now we are looking for folks to help donate for food, drinks, etc. My email is jad.duncan@tnduncanlaw.com
I sent out an evite to a lot of you folks but that doesn’t matter….Ya’ll tell everyone you know about this shin-dig and bring as many people as you want (we’re not an exclusive crowd). It promises to be FUN and I PROMISE that you’ll get stuffed on some great food.

I just can’t wait to get more pig pictures circulating!! I am also really looking forward to smalling like bbq pit smoke for a week!! I am with J-Wo. I can’t wait for this. You are staying up all night with me J, right?
