I thought I’d share with you a commercial which I saw yesterday and laughed out loud…
It’s funny but it made me think about a few things.
Saturday, I had the opportunity to hear former Titan wide reciever, Chris Sanders, speak at a Men’s Ministry event. It was great. We ate pig…we talked football…but most importantly we ministered and were ministered to by Chris. Click here for pictures of “the Hog.”
Chris is an awesome example of taking a position of fame, notoriety and earthly praise and turning it back to God. Chris is an amazingly dynamic speaker and was great to hear. He was so inspiring and after hearing his words I was totally fired up with his enthusiasim for Christ.
So here’s the take home…after seeing the men in our church come out yesterday for such an inspiring message and then watching the commercial above I have to ask…
Are we Leaders or Lemmings?
I want to say that we’re leaders and I certainly hope that we are BUT…are we doing what we say at church. Men are called to be spiritual leaders. We are called to take action, we are called to lead our families, we are called to help others, we are called to hold each other accountable. As Chris said on Saturday…God is saying (like the verizon commercials)…Can you hear me now?
Having said this, I feel blessed and feel that I’ve been put in a church family where other men are answering God’s calling and not hitting “ignore.” I am truly excited about God’s work through our men’s ministry and I’m certainly excited about really getting to work with my men’s small group and the other small groups that are meeting and ministering to other men and the community.
I hope all men can begin by honestly answering the question…are we leaders or lemmings?
I'm Jad. I'm married to a beautiful wife, live in the beautiful city of Nashville and have a beautiful life. First and foremost, I'm a Christian. Secondarily, I'm an attorney, a musician, and a big 'ol kid.

No doubt that in my 2 years in Nashville, CP has provided me with more areas to plug-in to what God is calling me to do than any other time in my life. Prior to our move here, my leadership was mediocre at best. In fact, I was not even a lemming, because lemmings actually do work.
I have been moved and energized to plug-in anywhere and everywhere that I can be useful since I have taken the CP plunge. There is no doubt that the 3-J’s are to be yet another valuable weapon in my arsenal of spiritual growth and leadership.
Just for the record, I do love the Lemmings video game. One of my all time faves!!
