This morning, I couldn’t resist the wonderful world of Starbucks. I was a little groggy and hadn’t had my first cup of coffee yet but was already running errands and needed something. Then it occurred to me that I hadn’t had a good Starbucks beverage in a while. Caramel Macchiato…Venti please. YUM.
So, in honor of my impulses this morning, Thursday’s Question is….
What is YOUR favorite Starbucks Beverage?
Hot or cold, grade or venti, non-fat, whole-fat, double shot, iced, touch of cinnamon, etc. Give me all the caffeinated details. Do me a favor though, leave out the politics (I know some folks disagree with Starbucks corporate backings and philosophies…but let’s face it, they still make good coffee).
In true Thursday Question style…Let me know if you have a local place that you frequent which serves better coffee / espresso. I love hearing about local flavor. Although Starbucks is easier (due to my suburbia), I LOVE Portland Brew on Murphy Ave. here in Nashville.
I'm Jad. I'm married to a beautiful wife, live in the beautiful city of Nashville and have a beautiful life. First and foremost, I'm a Christian. Secondarily, I'm an attorney, a musician, and a big 'ol kid.

vanilla bean frappuccino… tastes like a milkshake. unfortunately, i don’t do coffee!
Oh Jad, this is my favorite question. I would have to go with a Grande Iced Vanilla Latte with light ice or a Grande No fat Iced Chai.
Staying true to my Belmont roots Bongo Java is my favorite coffee/study spot and I like the Slick Willy’s with now whip!
Sorry, I avoid Starbucks, wayyy too expensive!!! …
^no whip
mocha. no whip cream. I hear rumors or a Starbucks happy hour. a $2 drink after after 2pm…I haven’t confirmed yet. I rarely get starbucks. mainly just when I travel or as a treat for ridding my bike to work. I justify it by that I probably save that much in gas plus I can’t carry my travel mug on the bike…I had Drew’s Brews coffee the other day and as far as coffer (versus espresso) goes it was really good. wow…the coffee question prompted my longest comment to date on your blog…
David you are correct but you have to purchase a beverage in the morning and your receipt allows you to return for any grande beverage that afternoon for just two dollars!
I’m with David. Mocha, baby, no whip cream.
I normally go with the Pike Place brew or whatever bold they have (the Cafe Estima is awesome!) but if I feel like treating myself to a specialty drink…
I get a Venti Breve Mint-Chocolate Latte with whip cream. It’s my own special drink that the baristas know me by.
Try it, you’ll love it.
Oooohhhhh, I can taste it right now. Skinny cinnamon dolce latte. If it’s a really daring day, I might add whip.
@David: I’m honored to have such a long comment from you. I don’t go to Starbucks that much either, only as a treat.
@brad: I love their plain coffee but I’m usually only there to get something “treaty.” Thanks for the suggestion!
@Lori: Nice.
@Everyone: Please ALWAYS add whip.
either Grande Black Coffee with Carmel flavoring.. or Grande Carmel Frap.
Karen usually gets.. (lemme see if I can remember this) Grande Skinny Vanilla Latte Wet (i guess it means no foam)
I’m happy to say I’ve never had anything from Starbucks! I may be the only person who can say that, who doesn’t live in an aboriginal tribe or a habitat people would call “the sticks.”
Venti Skinny solo cinnamon dolce latte with two Splenda Unfortunately the last one I had didn’t taste very good; caramel macchiatos were my favorite until I moved to Nashville, and then different baristas seem to use different quantities of ingredients, and they didn’t taste the same:(
Oh-if you don’t already, use Starbuck gift cards and register yours. You save $ with each purchase and received a free drink too.
Iced Venti Americano with 3 pumps White Mocha, Caramel SAUCE, NO water and Breve (1/2 and 1/2) on top! Absolutely the yummiest drink, plus you get 4 shots of espresso and it’s only about $3.00 =)
Straight from a coffee addict LOL!
Oh my goodness! My best friend started working at the Starbucks at my college, and asked me to come by one day to hang out while she worked. She gave me a Iced Caramel Macchiato (I hope I spelled that right!) and ever since then, I’ve been hooked!!! I get the best of both worlds: the best coffee in the world AND it’s free! I’m so lucky…
